The NFL makes a new appearance in Europe, and are bringing the two most popular teams with them. This is shown in a survey by Betting.se, which has examined search data from Google.
The NFL’s international games are getting closer, with three upcoming games in London during October and two games in Germany in November. This is the 16th season the NFL is playing games in London, and the second time they are coming to Germany. Previous years have also featured games in Mexico.
Jacksonville Jaguars have played the most games by far in Europe, with a total of 9, all in London. Despite that are the Jags not the most popular team.
In a survey by Betting.se, which has analyzed data from Google, the most googled NFL team in Germany are the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs, who also play in one of the upcoming games in November. Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the most searched teams after the Chiefs.
The result is very different compared to the UK, where Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys are the most google teams.
The inhabitants in Germany make approximately 600 000-700 000 google searches per month on the NFL teams during the season (September-January), and about 30 to 50 percent of that volume in the offseason.

Their opponent, the Miami Dolphins, is actually the most googled team in the UK.
